Caring For Your Jewelry
Silver is a soft metal and as such, will have minor variations.
Over time, silver jewelry, like all of us, can acquire minor dents and scratches that add to its individual character. Good care is essential.
A professional cleaning is always advisable, but for home care we do not recommend overuse of sonic cleaning devices as this can loosen stones over time. Washing in luke-warm water with mild soap and a soft brush is the simplest way to clean, however take care not to soak your jewelry for long periods.
A good silver polishing cloth is the best tool to keep your beloved jewels in optimal condition. Harsh cleaning methods like abrasive cremes and liquids can damage your valuable pieces by scratching the surface and possibly removing blackening. Not only can it affect the finish of the metal, but can permanently damage porous stones like opal, coral, turquoise, pearl, and emeralds.
